Performance Tuning

Why Remap your car?

When the manufacturers create the software for your car, they have to take into account a lot of parameters depending where they are sold.  This includes climate and fuel quality, as well as driver profiles and service intervals.

Manufacturers also use the same engine in various models but restrict or derestrict the output of the engines to suit the model.

Here at JWS, our remapping service ensures your vehicle’s performance and economy is the best it can be for your specific requirements.

You can expect a 20-30% increase in BHP and torque after a remap. This extra performance is accessible across the rev range, particularly at low revs and in the mid-range.  A typical 30-70mph run will be reduced by 1.5-2 seconds, and your car will pull better at higher speeds

JWS Remaps

Remapping is ‘non invasive’, meaning we don’t have to actually dismantle or replace any engine components.

We plug your vehicles’s ECU into our laptop, where the existing software is downloaded onto our laptop and transferred to our workshop for analysis. Next, new software is created especially for your vehicle based on your specific requirements.

For example, if you’ve asked for performance software, that’s what we’ll focus on.  If you’d prefer to improve your fuel economy, then a bespoke version based on our Eco Re-calibration service will be created for you.

We provide true bespoke software for you based on your specific  requirements.

Rolling Road

At JWS, we believe it is important to stay up to date with the latest diagnostic and tuning equipment to provide the best service possible.

So, we have recently invested in a state of the art Rolling Road.

This means we can accurately monitor your car’s performance,  from checking current power output to full custom remaps on a bespoke engine.

Please get in touch to discuss your requirements and one of the team will be happy to discuss all the options available
